Proof in Every Layer
Comfort you can see through.
Vision is PROTEPLEX ceramic window film — a ceramic window-film construction designed to help hold back the heat and UV coming through your glass, without relying on metallic, signal-reflective construction.
It works on the energy you feel but can't see, and is designed to support cabin comfort while maintaining usable visibility. Vision is a comfort-focused addition to the PROTEPLEX line.
Glass is transparent to more than light. Automotive glass may transmit portions of infrared and ultraviolet energy along with visible light.
Performance varies across dyed-film constructions, and some metallic constructions may affect certain wireless signals.
Vision takes a different path. Ceramic particles are suspended through the film and designed to manage selected portions of transmitted solar energy rather than bounce it back inside.
Because the construction is non-metallic, it is intended to reduce the risk of signal interference. That is the whole idea: manage the energy, keep the view, leave the electronics alone.
Vision is a multi-layer film, and each layer has a job:
The result is a low-profile film designed to work on the part of sunlight you feel most.
Vision is designed to help manage solar heat, ultraviolet transmission, and visible glare. Actual performance depends on the selected film, glass, vehicle, and conditions.
Its ceramic layer is designed to target infrared energy — the part of sunlight that turns a parked car into an oven.
The film is designed to cut ultraviolet transmission, which may help reduce UV exposure reaching interior materials and the people inside.
And a uniform, evenly tinted surface may make harsh daylight and oncoming headlights feel less intrusive.
These are properties of the film, felt over a full day of driving rather than measured in a single number.
Older tint often forced a choice: block more, see less. Vision is designed for a neutral, restrained appearance through compatible glass — no mirrored look, no muddy cast over your view.
It is tint that does its work quietly. See how ceramic tint compares to regular tint.
How dark you go is partly taste and partly law. Legal tint levels vary by state and by which window is being covered, and front, rear, and windshield glass are often treated differently.
Available Vision constructions may differ in visible-light and solar-performance characteristics. We don't publish shade percentages here, because the correct answer depends on your car and your state.
Confirm current requirements for your jurisdiction before installation, and choose a shade that is both compliant and right for your vehicle.
Vision is comfort and protection, not climate control.
It helps reduce the heat and UV coming through your glass, but it will not make a closed car cold on a hot day, and it is not a substitute for shade, ventilation, or air conditioning.
It is not a security or safety glass, and it does not make windows shatterproof. Vision is a window film, not a medical or health product, and we make no health claims for it.
Its role is deliberately limited to window-film performance — taking the edge off the sun's energy so your cabin and interior are more comfortable to live with.
Setting that expectation honestly is part of the brand.
Installation quality materially affects appearance and performance.
Vision is applied by trained professionals who cut it to your vehicle's glass, work it tight against the curves of modern windows, and finish the edges cleanly against the seals.
Preparation, application, edge treatment, and curing conditions affect the finished result.
This is why PROTEPLEX film is intended for professional installation rather than sold as a peel-and-stick kit: the result on the glass depends on the hands that apply it.
Vision asks very little. Once it has fully cured, wash your windows as you normally would.
Follow published care guidance and use compatible, ammonia-free cleaning products so the film stays clear over time. Follow the installer's documented curing guidance before operating the windows.
Vision is the comfort layer.
It pairs naturally with Shield paint protection film for helping reduce exposure to road debris, with Color PPF for a protected color change, and with Ceramic coating for a slicker, easier-to-clean exterior.
One brand, one material-focused approach across every layer.
Will ceramic tint interfere with my phone or GPS? Vision is non-metallic by design, intended to reduce the interference risk associated with metallic film construction.
How dark can I go? That depends on your state's laws and which window is being covered.
Confirm current requirements for your jurisdiction, and choose a shade that is both compliant and right for your vehicle.
Does tint fade or turn purple over time? Older dyed films could. Vision uses ceramic technology and is designed with color stability in mind.
Is Vision worth it if my windows already have factory tint? Factory glazing varies.
Compare its documented properties with the selected Vision film before deciding — factory glass is often dyed mainly for appearance.
